I'm not really sure, in all honesty, whom it's aimed at.

As the title of this album suggests, this is Rob Moratti's tribute to the band that made him want to be a singer in the first place, namely the mighty Journey. What is on offer is twelve classic Journey tracks including 'Mother, Father', 'Only The Young', 'Ask The Lonely', 'Don't Stop Believin'', 'Who's Cryin' Now' etc, that have been faithfully re-created by Moratti and his band mates.

Unfortunately, and it pains me to say this, that also happens to be this album's main problem and Achilles heel because the re-creations are just too "samey" for comfort. For example, guitarist Torben Enevoldsen (Section A, Acacia Avenue, Fate) has, as far as I am concerned, a guitar sound and style all of his own. It is one that you recognize straight away when you hear it regardless of what act it is part of. Yet on this release it's gone, supplanted by him trying his best to sound almost exactly like Neal Schon (which he almost does).

When I played this album, the first thing it made me think was that if I'm going to listen to Steve Perry era Journey songs, then I might as well go and listen to Journey with Perry doing them. To be fair, this is much more my problem than it is Moratti's or his comrades... it's just a personal thing.

You see if you put the Journey thing to one side (which is hard I'll admit), what you have here is an album full of very strong performances which are complimented by an excellent production and of course "those songs". But what can I tell you about "those songs" that has not already been said once if not a thousand times? Nothing, that's what!

At the end of the day, this is one of those albums that really is for you, our readers, to hear and make up your own minds about it because I'm not really sure, in all honesty, whom it's aimed at.
