They are clearly aspiring to Accept styles of bombast.
Keep it coming... keep it coming, I can take loads of this... oh no, I can't actually. Which track are we on? Four...oh.
These Teutonic toughies are on their seventh release and peddle music as tough as a two dollar steak, with all the attendant boredom. They are clearly aspiring to Accept styles of bombast but that band had a set of gleaming, sharp hooks to keep you coming back, this has just the size and strength. Like watching 'Britain's Strongest Man' competition on a loop, you are bound to find yourself saying "that's strong" over and over again...
Okay, 'Rot In Hell' and 'Iron Horde' are accessible and fun, Harry "HP" Piller's gravelly larynx fitting perfectly with Jason Mathias' rough-hewn riffs, spiky solos and the melodic surprises present. 'Blades Of Devil Hunter' isn't bad either, running around with nasty intent whilst the riff attempts to calm it down and solo revs up nicely. But 'Desert Revolution' squanders the early promise to grow into something unexpected and 'Teutonic Hearts' showcase the sound we have heard earlier on.
Good for Metallurgists who want that from top to tail, but then you've already got 'Metal Heart'...
