This album is pretty much flawless.

Following the release of their fantastic debut album 'Cross Your Heart' back in 2011, Daylight Robbery is back in the saddle with 'Falling Back To Earth'. A few line-up changes have also occurred in the intervening years and so the band now comprises of Tony Nicholl (vocals), Mark Carleton (guitars), Colin Murdoch (bass) and new members David Billingham on keyboards and Chris Miller on drums.

Onto the most important news – this album is truly strong and viable and one where Classic meets Modern Melodic Rock. The retro intro of crowd cheering and then fading into 'Scream Out Loud' really works with its keyboard heavy riff and a pounding song in the classic Bon Jovi envelope. With keyboards more prominent this time around, this album has more depth than their debut and also a bit more light and shade.

The slightly less raucous passages work well and shine in tracks like 'I'll Be Seeing You' and the catchy 'Samarah Never Sleeps' with its memorable chorus. Rest assured though, the album does Rock and there is a Metal onslaught throughout – Carleton's guitar work is top drawer and he certainly comes up with classic riffs and lightning fast solos. There are some epic tracks contained within; 'Fallen Star' fits this category and could easily hold its head up high alongside the offerings of A-list bands doing this style of song.

Closing with the upbeat Journey-esque 'Running Out Of Time' with Nicholl singing his heart out (by the way, his voice comes over loud and clear throughout the album), the band has created a new classic album with no fillers.

In fact, this album is pretty much flawless and now with two great albums in the bag, this seasoned band deserves maximum attention.
