The Iron Maidens Make South American Music History
30 March 2011
The Iron Maidens also made music history by being the first all female metal band to perform on Venezuelan soil. Finishing off the festival night, The Iron Maidens joined by Tim "Ripper" Owens (HAIL!, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, BEYOND FEAR, ex-JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH) on stage for two songs, 'Breaking The Law' and 'Flight Of Icarus'. Twice during The Iron Maidens performance festival promoters stopped their set because the crowd of 40,000-plus concert goers broke through the security lines.
The Iron Maidens are: Kirsten “Bruce Chickinson” Rosenberg, Linda “Nikki McBURRain” McDonald, Wanda “Steph Harris” Ortiz, Elizabeth “Devina Murray” Schall and Courtney “Adriana Smith” Cox. The group offer excellent musicianship with an elaborate stage show with effects and appearances from Iron Maiden mascot, “Eddie”, and other theatrical characters that have gained the band national and international recognition.
