This ultimately provides a convincing result, proving that the band is growing and getting better record after record.

Look at the world around us; we're like scavengers just feasting away on everything, without any concerns about how it affects other living beings and the earth. We just gnaw on the bones until there's nothing left. Just look at our world leaders - warmongers, setting rain forests on fire, letting people starve and extinguishing animals on a daily basis.

This is the main theme of 'Vulture Culture', the new Bombus album. Yes, it really is! Are Bombus becoming all serious and depressed? No, not really; the songs are still easy going and they enjoy life as usual, but they also felt the need to write about reality, and reality is raw. They go back to doing longer songs, like on earlier stuff, but still have the catchiness and directness of 'Repeat Until Death', with a vibe of seventies Alice Cooper to it, well balanced in every way.

A newly expanded five-man line-up ensures a great solid base to the band's Hard Rock, with very interesting arrangements for three guitars, creating the album's silver lining. There's a sense of collective chemistry, smooth and thrilling, with a great work of mixing and mastering behind, done by Daniel Johansson and Jens Bogren.
This is a more varied album, with riffs and Hard Rock anthems that are catchy and easy. But there's also a solid structure and more intense parts. This ultimately provides a convincing result, proving that the band is growing and getting better record after record.
